The course will cover the following moments in time: 1) Te Ao Māori / The Māori world 2) Maori and settler relationships 3) The musket wars and key issues leading up to the Declaration of Independence & the Treaty of Waitangi 4) Key figures involved in the drafting of the documents 5) The content and journey of Te Tiriti o Wait
