Aug 2, 2007 · Most 4" of spring under lift require a 4 degree correction. If you lifted your jeep 2.5" you "may" not need to do a thing. The shims are placed under your spring perches, above your springs with the fat end of the shim facing the front of your jeep. So facing your front driver's side tire, the fat end is to your left.

Feb 16, 2020 · I run a NV3550 Jeep 5 speed transmission and with 4.56 gears and 35s it's a great combination. With 4.11s I think the overdrive would be less usable. My Jeep is dual duty, daily driver capable and hard off roading. If mainly an off road vehicle, I'd consider 4.88s. I also run 4:1 gears in the D300, so have an overall low range of 73:1.

Sep 25, 2007 · This build was for putting a changing a Jeep Grand Wagoneer Dana 44 front axle into a Jeep Cherokee XJ (or Wrangler TJ), and in the process, re-gearing it, locking it, and changing to a 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern (adapters to be used on the rear). But do take note that it already had the RE bracket kit welded on (about a $400 value)

Follow along and I will attempt to relate the trials and tribulations I encounter. 1). I bought the front and rear axles out of a 1979 Wagoneer because they were Dana 44's. That would have allowed me to use 6 lug wheels front and rear.

I'm not looking for a neck-snaping performance gain. I just want my engine to run smoothly, optimize fuel economy, and most importantly, reliability.
