The chair and vice-chair of the Shreveport City Council will, for the first time, be held by two women. Councilwomen Tabatha Taylor and Ursula Bowman were elected as chair and vice-chair of the Shreveport City Council at Tuesday's meeting, replacing Councilmen Alan Jackson and James Green, respectively.

Taylor expressed her hopes that city leadership will continue to advocate and work for safe, thriving communities in every corner of Shreveport.
