The Biden administration will use a national security memo to direct agencies to embrace artificial intelligence, as the United States competes with China.

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – The White House is rolling out new guidelines on how the government should use artificial intelligence for national security. “Because there is probably no other technology that will be more critical to our national security in the years ahead,” National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said.

This is our nation’s first ever strategy for harnessing the power and managing the risks of AI to advance our national security,” national security adviser Jake Sullivan said in a speech Thursday.

The White House has set new rules for the government that will protect against the dangers of AI while promoting AI research.
