Nine passengers and one pilot were on board the Bering Air flight from Unalakleet to Nome, Alaska, officials said.

The Alaska State Troopers were informed that an “overdue aircraft” had gone missing with nine passengers and a pilot on board, according to a dispatch message posted on their website.

An argument escalated to a shooting and resulted in the death of 25-year-old Mashay Miller of Chicago, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

Two-thirds of the estimated $800 million over 10 years would be allocated to public safety while the remainder would go toward community investments.
