A man who died after the train he was travelling on collided with another train in mid Wales has been named locally as Tudor Evans. He was in his 60s and from the Aberystwyth area of Ceredigion.

It is believed the 6.31pm service from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth travelled beyond where it should have stopped and hit the stationary 7.09pm service from Machynlleth to Shrewsbury
