A red flag warning is in effect for all of Connecticut Wednesday as a massive blaze has grown at Lamentation Mountain in Berlin and Meriden.

After more than two days of burning, the Berlin brush fire has grown to roughly 125 acres in size, according to officials Wednesday. They plan to drop water on the fire using helicopters Wednesday afternoon.

Though dozens of firefighters are working to contain the brush fire on Lamentation Mountain in Berlin, it may not be fully extinguished for another month if the strong winds and lack of rain continue.

A brush fire that began on Lamentation Mountain in Berlin has spread to about 80 acres, including into Meriden, authorities said, and left one firefighter dead.
