Chelsea are in the market for a new goalkeeper and have identified Borussia Dortmund's Gregor Kobel as their top target - but face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United

Chelsea have decided that they do not need to sign a new goalkeeper to replace Robert Sanchez, according to reports. Sanchez has faced plenty of criticism from various football pundits this season and has been identified as a weak link in the Chelsea XI.

Marcus Bettinelli and Lucas Bergstrom are also part of the first-team squad at Chelsea, who loaned out Sanchez’s predecessor as No1, Petrovic, to sister club Strasbourg for the season last summer along with the likes of Caleb Wiley and Andrey Santos after he had made 31 appearances under former boss Mauricio Pochettino last term.
