Sony and a number of PlayStation studios have announced plans to donate to the Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts. Fires that started last Tuesday have killed at least 25 people, displaced thousands and destroyed over 12,000 structures.

Sony and some of PlayStation's first-party studios have confirmed they're making donations to relief efforts relating to the ongoing Los Angeles fires. They join other companies and entities that are providing financial support to help those providing aid and rebuilding services in the area.

Sony Group Corporation pledged $5 million for L.A. wildfire relief, following suit with other major companies including Warner, Universal and Disney.

Sony will donate $5 million in support of wildfire relief, as Southern California works its way toward containment of numerous fires in the region, the company announced on Monday. Sony plans to allocate funds to organizations supporting first responders,
