Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said the suspect's alleged trail of violence began at an apartment building in Uptown.

New details have emerged in an investigation involving a Minneapolis man who allegedly fired shots from an apartment balcony in the city before leaving and shooting two people - one of them fatally - west of the metro area.

A Minneapolis man has been charged in Hennepin and Kandiyohi counties after a standoff in the city led to a police pursuit into western Minnesota, and the shooting of two men, one who later died.
