A statue of one of St. Paul's most famous sons was stolen from the capital city earlier this month, police say.

A statue of a young F. Scott Fitzgerald, once outside the St. Paul building where he attended school and published some of his first stories, has been stolen. The St. Paul Police Department on Tuesday said the statute was last known to be at 25 Dale Street North, just north of the Dale Street and Summit Avenue intersection, on Feb. 3.

The statue, which had been located on the steps to the Academy Professional Building, was last known to be there on Feb. 3, police said.
