Regardless of who made the decision, the Jets have decided to shake up their front office. According to reports including ESPN, the team has fired co-direct of pro personnel Greg Nejmeh and senior director of football administration David Socie. Per KUSA-TV in Denver, Nejmeh was replaced by former Denver Broncos scout Rob Paton:

Former Vikings general manager Rick Spielman, who assisted the Jets in their searches for a GM and head coach, is joining the franchise as a senior adviser.

The former Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins general manager announced on his CBS Sports podcast Thursday that he'll serve as the team's senior football adviser. Spielman and former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum assisted New York owner Woody Johnson in the franchise's two searches during the past few months.
