More than 500 workers were put on notice by Air Wisconsin, and they could be out of a job as early as March 31.

Among the 513 affected employees in both Appleton and Milwaukee, 294 union workers will be temporarily laid off.

According to its letter to the state, it is likely the company's plan will involve some level of company-wide workforce reductions.

Air Wisconsin Airlines has announced hundreds of layoffs from their Appleton and Milwaukee bases of operation. It comes after they announced they would no longer be flying for American Airlines.
