Remember when Acura announced plans to bring back the beloved Integra name, only to later reveal that said Integra would only be sold as a five-door hatchback? Well, it's happened again. Acura has announced that the RSX badge — the one used instead of Integra on the final generation of three-door Acura sport compact coupes sold in the U.

Acura is reviving the RSX nameplate, but it won’t be applied to the rear of a high-revving, four-cylinder sports coupe like the previous generation, which was sold here in the States from 2001–2006. Instead,

Acura will revive its RSX nameplate later this year for an electric crossover, the automaker has confirmed. The original RSX, badged as a Honda Integra outside the U.S., was a sporty coupe sold in the early 2000s.

Acura RSX will be an evolution of the Performance EV concept, built on the same dedicated platform that will underpin the Honda 0-series.

Acura is bringing back another classic model … name. On the heels of the return of the Integra and ZDX names to the brand’s lineup, Honda-owned Acura has announced that its first homegrown electric vehicle will be called the RSX.
