Shreyas Iyer, fresh off a century against Maharashtra, has dismissed reports of a shoulder injury ruling him out of the next Ranji match. Shreyas criticised the social media user for spreading false information and confirmed his availability.

Shreyas Iyer faces another setback as he is likely to miss Mumbai's Ranji Trophy match against Tripura due to a shoulder injury. This comes after he played seven consecutive domestic matches and expressed the need to rest.

The 29-year-old has featured in each of the three domestic games for Mumbai this season, which includes the heavyweights' title win in the Irani Cup after 27 years.

"The body has taken a lot of load at the same time. So we have to manage here and there and see to it that I strategise in terms of how I play"

Shreyas Iyer scored a first-class century after 38 innings. He scored 142 runs against Maharashtra to help Mumbai take a sizeable lead.

On Saturday, Shreyas Iyer shut his critics with a knock of 142 off 190 for Mumbai against Maharashtra in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season.
