No children were injured Thursday morning in a hit-and-run collision that caused a school bus to crash into a building on Detroit's west side, police said. Officer Justin Hearn, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department, said the crash was reported before 8:45 a.m. and happened near the intersection of Meyer Road and Curtis Street.

An 85-year-old school bus driver died after he was hit by another bus in a “tragic accident” at a high school, New Jersey officials said. Jack Hohwald was at Maple Shade High School on Jan. 28 when he was hit by a bus, the Maple Shade Police Department wrote in a news release posted to Facebook.

It’s only three weeks into 2025, and already, there have been 51 school bus crashes in Ohio. Lawmakers have just introduced a bill aiming to keep students safe. Another crash happened Friday morning.
