Southwest jet aborts landing to avoid runway collision in Chicago
A Southwest Airlines flight was forced to abort a landing at Chicago Midway airport today and narrowly avoided a collision with a business jet that entered the runway without authorization, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The Southwest plane performed a "go-around" to avoid a collision, circling to land safely about 15 minutes later.
