A 25-year-old Pittsburgh man is facing a homicide charge for the fatal stabbing of an off-duty Pennsylvania State Trooper Monday along the Montour Trail.

A 44-year-old man found Monday afternoon along the Montour Trail in Moon with a stab wound died after being taken to a hospital, police said. Allegheny Township police were assisting Moon police and detectives are seeking information about the owner of a bicycle and bag found near the man.
