Avoided hearing about the whole OnePlus Watch 3 typo story? There's a letter going out with orders to make sure everyone's in the loop.

To its credit, OnePlus has owned up to its mistake after misprinting "Meda in China" on its early Watch 3 devices. That now includes a printed apology letter.

The minor error is that early devices say "Meda in China" on the rear casing, instead of "Made in China". Pre-orders for the OnePlus Watch 3 are still open and you can get a slight discount if you're ok with receiving a device with the typo, while those who have received theirs already can return it "without question".

OnePlus somehow missed that step when launching the OnePlus Watch 3, which had its scheduled Tuesday launch abruptly halted because of an embarrassing typo. On the back of the watch, early buyers discovered that their $330 smartwatch was "meda in China.

Production Halt: To prevent further distribution of the flawed units, OnePlus paused new sales of the Watch 3. The company announced plans to resume sales once the corrected models were ready, with an expected delay of approximately two months, shifting the release from February 25 to April 15, 2025.

OnePlus Watch 3 has a typo that's located on the back of the watch. OnePlus is actively addressing the issue with an apology letter with units being sent out. Users can keep the watch or return it. OnePlus doesn't have a date when new stock will be available.
