New York voters will decide whether to make abortion rights part of the state constitution this November. Proposition 1 on New York's ballot is called the Equal Protection of Law Amendment.

Over 20 states already have a version of the ERA, but Prop 1 would also prohibit reproductive discrimination and codify abortion access in the state.

The battle over Prop 1 has largely broken down along partisan lines, with lawmakers and organizations on the left organizing in support of the measure and those on the right against it.
