Mikaela Shiffrin finished 10th in a World Cup slalom race on her injury comeback on Thursday, with Croatian racer Zrinka Ljutic winning in style under floodlights at Courchevel. Ljutic, 21, has won three of the past four slaloms.

Croatian Zrinka Ljutic earned her third World Cup slalom win this season, while Mikaela Shiffrin placed 10th in her first race in two months as she works her way back from tearing oblique muscles in a Nov.

Mikaela Shiffrin resumed her quest for a milestone 100th World Cup win on Thursday in Courchevel, France where she was in fifth place following the opening run of the slalom event two months after a ski crash left her with a puncture wound in her abdomen.
