Meryl Streep had to take matters into her own hands when evacuating from the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this month, according to her nephew.

Meryl Streep's nephew Abe Streep wrote in 'New York Magazine' that Meryl was forced to "cut a car-size hole in the fence she shared with the neighbors on the other side" with wire-cutters to escape her home after wildfires in Los Angeles broke out on Jan.

The only way Meryl Streep could evacuate home during the LA fires was to cut a hole in her fence and drive through a neighbor's yard.
