After the Buffalo Sabres jumped out to a 3-0 lead with the help of two quick second period goals, the Dallas Stars mounted a third period comeback but came up just short in a 4-2 loss Tuesday. With the win, the Buffalo Sabres improved to 3-4-1 on the season. They have three more games at home before heading back on the road.

Peyton Krebs and Ryan McLeod scored on consecutive shots 83 seconds apart in the second period, and the Buffalo Sabres hung on for a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars after allowing two goals in the final 4:36.

Off to a hot start to the season, the Stars head to Buffalo to face the Sabres and begin a quick two-game road trip.
