It's been 15 days now since Ashley Elkins of Warren disappeared and five days since investigators started searching Pine Tree Acres landfill in Lenox Township.

Police continued to search a Macomb County landfill on Friday as they await test results on what they call "lookalike items" to determine if they are connected to the case.

Officials expect to make a decision soon on whether additional charges will be filed in the case of Ashley Elkins.

Almost two weeks since a 30-year-old mom of two disappeared, police are still searching for the remains of Ashley Elkins.

The disappearance of Ashley Elkins, a 30-year-old mother, and the primary suspect, her ex-boyfriend DeAndre Booker are investigated by Vinnie Politan.

The search for Ashley Elkins continued this week as law enforcement coordinated with Waste Management at a landfill in Lenox Township.
