We saw only Cars being allowed to Topslip(Tamil Nadu Side) and not bikes. Also since it is a long drive with animals lurking it may be safer to take a car
Hi Everyone, I am planning to visit Topslip & Parambikulam. I am staying in Topslip and will be visiting parambikulam for a day. There is not clear directions - some say I need permissions from Forest department before going there and own vehicles can go only up to the check post. From there, we have to go by forest vehicles and only if they have sufficient numbers. Can anyone provide details on where & contact details to get permission to visit dam / bamboo rafting or boating, etc?

You will need your own transport. But Public transport is available from Coimbatore to Pollachi and from there to Anamalai which is about 15 km from Pollachi. Anamalai is the closest you can reach Parambikulam via regular bus. But I have seen public transport bus in Parambikulam. So it necessarily means you can board this bus from Anamalai. But ensure you have an accommodation booked in advance.
